When will you charge shipping?
To ensure that shipping costs are as accurate as possible, shipping will be calculated and charged once items are ready to post (estimated January 2023). This way I can be extra certain that no one pays more for shipping than they need to (yay!)

When will the items ship?
Orders should start shipping in February 2023 (previously January, but we had some manufacturing delays due to lockdowns). Bearing in mind that there are several hundred orders, it will take a few weeks for them to all be processed (I’m a one woman show!). Any significant delays will be communicated via Kickstarter and on social media. Please follow @rainbowspaceunicornshop on instagram for updates.

Why is shipping so expensive?
Unfortunately I don’t have any control over shipping costs. I’ve definitely tried to get the most affordable (but still reliable) shipping for you! Since the Bookish Ita Bags in particular are quite large, they end up in a higher shipping bracket despite only weighing 2kgs.
All international shipping includes tracking for your (and my!) peace of mind. Tracking information should be included with your shipping notification.

What are the bags and purses made from?
High quality synthetic leather (vegan friendly) and metal finishings.

Will the bags (and other items) be available to buy after the Kickstarter / Pre-Order?
Short answer: Yes.
Longer answer: Very small / limited quantities of keychains, washi tapes, and enamel pins will be available on the www.rainbowspaceunicorn.com shop after all pre-orders have shipped.
Bags and purses will be available longer term online and at selected awesome retailers. They will be FULL retail price - the pre-order pricing is the best it’s going to get.

Why aren't there pictures of all the products?
Great question! Essentially, they’re all having samples made right now. I had one sample of the Bookish Ita Bag (in brown) made BEFORE I launched the Kickstarter. Now everything is funded, I’m ordering samples in all the other colours (and for purses, pins, washi tapes, and keychains).
The manufacturers will send me pictures and videos (and sometimes the physical product) for me to view and approve before they begin mass production. I’ll share more details of those when I can (over on @rainbowspaceunicornshop on instagram and via Kickstarter updates).
Please be aware that colours may vary slightly from what you see on your individual screens due to lighting, screen settings, etc.

Current Estimated Shipping Date: February 2023
Shipping has been pushed back slightly to Feb 2023. We had some minor manufacturing delays in late 2022 due to lockdowns, which had a flow on effect. As of 24 Jan 2023, the bags are in the country and should be delivered to me soon! All other add on items (washi tapes, keyrings, enamel pins) are here and ready to go.

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
